About Loosened Recovery

Relationships in Christ

The greatest gift we have is the ability to build relationships. And how we build them or keep them depends on how we see others and ourselves. As image bearers of God, we were made for relationships, not just with each other but with Him. And once we establish a trust in Him and His guidance and provision, we will be able to truly appreciate the attributes of ourselves and those around us.

The greatest Love of all

As we allow God to be the glue of our relationships, we'll see how He works in our lives to appreciate those around us and ourselves.

1Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is Patient

Loving someone special means having patience. Sometimes we  may need to take things slow to get the results we are looking for.

Love is Kind

We show kindness by how we speak, how we act, and how we treat our partners. Being patient with them allows for kindness.

Love does not envy or boast

Our Pride or ego can challenge any relationship. Love calls for equality with our partners and does not dishonor or is not self-seeking.

Not easily Angered.

Emotions can cause havoc in any relationship. Understanding our limits and knowing when to take a time-out is key to healthy relationships. Knowing our triggers can also help us know when anxiety builds towards anger.

About Loosened Recovery

It Keeps no record of wrongs

The greatest act of kindness a partner can show is forgetting wrongs and moving forward together. We tend to keep record of mistakes or wrongdoings as defenses during difficult moments or arguments.

Love does not delight in Evil

Love rejoices in truth and allows for strong relationships through honesty and patience. We are fallen people in a fallen world and influences around us can direct our relationships. Building trust  is key to a successful relationship.
